Types of vocational courses
Colleges mentioned in this post are known to offer the following types of vocational training courses –
- Certification programs
B.Voc. stands for Bachelor of Vocation. It is an undergraduate level Bachelor’s Degree course. Students who have passed 12th class are eligible to apply for B.Voc. admission.
B.Voc. course is three years long. Each academic year is divided into two semesters. Each semester is six months long.
D.Voc. stands for Diploma in Vocation. This course can be pursued by students who have passed 10th class. The course duration is three years.
Apart from these courses, vocational training colleges are also known to offer other types of training programs such as – certification programs, skill development programs and workshops.
Admission process may vary from one institute to another. Most colleges prefer merit based admission process. Under this system, a candidate’s performance in board exam and/or relevant selection exam is taken into consideration.
