Sachin Tendulkar, the God of Cricket retired from ODI cricket recently. A household name in India, he has made the nation proud time and again with his on-field exploits. # Sachin is an avid tennis player. At one point in his life, he considered taking up tennis as his career. Well, had his decision remained the same, we would lose a cricketing gem. Anyway tennis’ loss is cricket’s gain. Also Sachin is a big fan of tennis legend John McEnroe.
# After taking up cricket, he wanted to become a fast bowler. He took fast bowling quite seriously until he was rejected by Dennis Lillee’s MRF Pace Foundation. It was Dennis who told Sachin to focus on batting rather than bowling.
# He endorses a number of brands. He reportedly earns around $16.5 Million from various endorsements. The brands he endorses are Adidas, Pepsi, Visa, Palio etc. But the first brand which he endorsed was Boost: the health drink along with Kapil Dev.
