On getting the forms, the Gujarat Police Department calls candidates to appear for the selection process. The very first selection process is a Physical test that all candidates must appear for. It is like a qualifying round. No marks are given for the performance in this physical tests round. Candidates just have to qualify so that they may appear for the next stage of written examination.
Let us check out what the physical tests consists of in case of male candidates-
* 800 meters race to be completed in no more than 3 minutes and 10 seconds.
* 5 km running (to be completed within 25 minutes).
Also, let us check out the physical tests held in case of female candidates-
* 1600 meters running (to be completed within 9 minutes).
As I mentioned before, candidates won’t be evaluated and given marks for their performance in the physical tests round. They just need to qualify that stage. Successful candidates who qualify those tests are then called to appear for written exams.
