  1. Visit the official website of IGNOU (ignouexams.nta.nic.in).
  2. Click on ‘application form for OPENMAT’ button.
  3. Click on ‘new registration’ button.
  4. Go through the set of instructions.
  5. Click on ‘I have downloaded…’ tab.
  6. Click on ‘click here to proceed’ button.
  7. Fill up the registration form by entering the following details – personal details, contact details and address.
  8. Choose a strong password. Configure your security question.
  9. Enter security pin or captcha code.
  10. Click on ‘submit’ button.

Steps to fill IGNOU OPENMAT application form

  1. After completing registration, click on ‘complete application form’ button. Alternatively, you may even visit the IGNOU exams website (ignouexams.nta.nic.in) and login.
  2. Access your application form and enter personal details, preferences, academic details, additional information and employment details.
  3. Enter the security pin.
  4. Click on ‘submit’ button.
  5. Review your application form.
  6. Verify the particulars by clicking on relevant boxes.
  7. If you want to make changes, click on ‘edit application form data’ button.
  8. Click on ‘I agree’ tab.
  9. Click on ‘final submit’ button.
  10. Click on ‘upload images’ button.
  11. Use the ‘choose file’ option to upload relevant images.

  13. Click on ‘I have verified uploaded images carefully’ button.

  • Address: Address of residence, city/town/village, district and pin-code.
  • Preferences: Test you are applying for, choice of exam center, state code and regional center.
  • Academic details: Pass status, course/stream name, board/university name, year of passing/appearing, result mode, marks secured, roll number, institute name and address etc.
