The course is three years long. Students who have passed 12th standard are eligible to pursue this course. The program offers two main exit options – Diploma on quitting the program after completing one year and Advanced Diploma on quitting the program after completing two years.
2 D.Voc.
It stands for Diploma in Vocation. It is a Diploma certificate program. At its core, this is a vocational training program. Though it is not as valued as B.Voc., D.Voc. is a job oriented training program!
The course is three years long. Technically, 10th pass students are eligible to pursue this course. But candidates possessing advanced qualifications – such as 12th pass – are also eligible to pursue this course.
Like B.Voc., this program also covers different disciplines such as – agriculture, food processing, automobile, electronics, networking, computers etc.
Apart from B.Voc. and D.Voc., there also exists many other vocational training programs such as – certification, skill development programs, skill diploma training programs etc. Certification programs are available in online as well as regular learning formats.
• Integrated (Dual Degree) courses (stream-specific)
12th passed students have access to different types of integrated programs. For example – B.Tech. + MBA integrated course, B.Sc. + M.Sc. integrated course, B.Sc. + MBA integrated course etc.
These programs usually combine two different academic programs and turn them into an integrated program. Eligibility criteria of integrated programs depend upon the courses involved in the program. For example, if B.Tech. Degree is involved, eligibility criteria would most probably be – 12th Science pass with PCM or PCB subjects.
