  • For Technical Field Officer- Electrical post, candidate must have B.E./B.Tech. Degree in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics Engineering with minimum 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) in 4 years of Engineering Education.
  • For Technical Field Officer- Civil post, candidate must have B.E./B.Tech. Degree in Civil/Construction Technology and Management Engineering with minimum 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) in 4 years of Engineering Education.
  • For Technical Field Officer- Mechanical post, candidate must have B.E./B.Tech. Degree in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) in 4 years of Engineering Education.
  • For Network Administrator post, candidate must have B.E./B.Tech. Degree in Electronics/Telecommunications Engineering with minimum 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) in 4 years of Engineering Education. Along with the Degree, candidates must also possess valid CCNP/CCNA certification in Network switching and Routing.

Educational Qualifications required

  • For System Administrator post, candidate must have B.E./B.Tech. Degree in Information Technology/Electronics and Communication/Computer Science Engineering or MCA (Master of Computer Applications) with minimum 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) in 4 years of Engineering Education or 2 years of MCA education. Along with the Degree, candidates must also possess valid OS Certification by the likes of Microsoft, Red Hat etc.
  • For Database Administrator post, candidate must have B.E./B.Tech. Degree in Information Technology/Electronics and Communication/Computer Science Engineering or MCA (Master of Computer Applications) with minimum 60% aggregate marks (or equivalent grade) in 4 years of Engineering Education or 2 years of MCA education. Along with the Degree, candidates must also possess valid DB Certification.
  • For Economist post, candidate must have Post Graduate Degree in Economics with Economics/Statistics as elective subjects from a Recognized University. Candidates with higher qualifications such as M.Phil. and PhD will be given preference.

 

Apart from Educational Qualifications, a criteria called Post Qualification Work experience is also present. Under this criteria, having minimum 2 years’ experience in BFSI/Government/Reputed Private Companies in the relevant field is also necessary. This criteria applies to all the three job posts mentioned above.

 

How to apply for JMGS-1 and MMGS-2 job posts?

Application process is fully online. Visit the official website of Canara Bank and look for section named ‘Careers’. Over there, you will find recruitment links of above mentioned grades. Click on the link and you will get the application form.

 

Fill necessary and correct details, such as personal details, educational qualifications etc. One will also have to upload one’s photograph and signature specimen in jpg format. After finishing these tasks, one may revise the form and click on submit button. Payment process also has to be done in online mode. Then one has to take the print out of this registered application form.

 

Selection Process

The first stage of selection is short listing/test. If number of candidates is less, short listing is done. Short listed candidates’ name will be provided on the site and they will be notified through e mail also. Call letters will be given to them, inviting them to appear for further stages- GD (Group Discussion) and Interview.

 

If the number of candidates who applied is high, there will be an online test instead of short listing process. This test comprises of subjects like- English, Banking sector developments and knowledge, knowledge related to the area in which candidate has specialized.

 

Unreserved candidates will have to score more than 55 marks and SC, SC, OBC and Disabled candidates more than 50 marks out of 100, to be considered for final rank list.
