Disassemble your phone: If your phone gets wet, the first thing you should be doing is to disassemble it. Remove the battery out, dry it out effectively using a dry, clean and water absorbing piece of cloth. Wipe out the screen, small fine parts and eliminate all visible water on it. Dry it either under sun or fan.

Use hair dryer: Once the drying process is over, take your mobile and put it back together right? No! There may be minute water particles still inside the phone. Enter the hairdryer. Use your hairdryer to blow some hot air inside the device. Note that you don’t overdo it and damage the body. Don’t use this trick directly onto the chip-set for it could damage the fine circuits and delicate parts.

Rice? Nice!

The rice trick: Here comes the master trick! Bury you phone and its components in a bowl full of rice. Rice is an excellent absorber of moisture.

This step will eliminate any remaining moisture content. Let it remain buried for an hour. After taking it out, remove dust or debris from the phone’s surface. Now you are good to go!
