You must have Citibank Credit/Debit card number to get started. Also, your mobile number should be registered with the bank. Your phone must be able to send and receive SMS.
SMS format for balance enquiry-
For account balance enquiry, send the SMS which has been highlighted in bold- BAL<space>last 4 digits of debit card number to the number 52484/+919880752484.
For example- BAL 5940 to any one of the above specified numbers.
In case of Credit card, to check Outstanding balance and credit limit, send following format SMS (highlighted in bold)- CARDBAL<space>last 4 digits of credit card number to the number 52484/+919880752484.
For example- CARDBAL 5940 to any one of the above mentioned numbers.
